Being conscious of your breathing
Breathing is the source of life energy. When we restrict our breathing, we diminish our life energy. When you feel low, your breathing is shallow.
Deep breathing expands the lungs. If a message of the expansion is sent to your heart, your heartbeats decrease.
Take a moment to get closer to your breathing. If your breathing is shallow or fast, you may be tensed up. If it is deep and slow, you may be relaxed. And such exploration of your breathing tells you your emotional state right now.
From this baseline, you can notice any changes in your emotional state. So try to be conscious of your breathing. If you can control your breathing, you will experience a more energetic self and achieve joy and a zest for life again.
